Management Commitment & Employee Involvement
Job Hazard Analysis
Hazard Prevention & Safety
The foundation of a successful safety program is in compliance with OSHA standards. We comply with OSHA regulations. We provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards. We examine workplace conditions to ensure compliance.
Safety and health training can range from basic awareness through advanced level training.
Aerial Lifts
Our training explains how to operate aerial work platforms like scissors and boom lifts safely. Only properly trained and authorized personnel may operate lifts. Our workers should learn general safety tips for operating aerial lifts, as well as being trained on the operations specific to your model.
CPR / First Aid / AED
Total Group ensures prompt first aid action for injured employees, either by providing for the availability of a trained first aid provider at the worksite. The basic purpose is to assure that adequate first aid is available in the critical minutes and the availability of physician or hospital care.
Emergency Action Plan
At Total Group, we have an emergency action plan (EAP). The purpose of an EAP is to facilitate and organize Total Group and employee actions during workplace emergencies. The elements of the plan include means of reporting fires and other emergencies, and other procedures.
Forklifts
Our safety program provides our operators with one-on-one forklift training. It is important to establish a vehicle inspection, an approved daily checklist, and a maintenance plan to adhere to before they begin each shift. All operators must complete our training program.
Confined Space in Construction
Any of our techs who may potentially need to work in a confined space, need to have some form of confined space training, depending on the level of work required. Our training shows them how to work in a confined space environment to maximize safety for them and those around them.
OSHA 10 and 30 Hours
We train our workers with the OSHA Program and have seen important reductions in lost-time injuries because we recognize the importance of providing a safe workplace for our workers. With OSHA’s program, our team is able to identify hazards associated with serious construction-related injuries.
Excavating, Trenching & Shoring
Excavation and trenching are among the most hazardous construction operations. Trench collapses cause dozens of fatalities and hundreds of injuries each year. We inspect before workers enter to ensure the elimination of working conditions that are unsanitary or dangerous to employees.
Hazard Communication
To ensure chemical safety in our workplace, information about the hazards of the chemicals are always available and understandable to our workers. In our workplace, we have labels and safety data sheets for our exposed workers and train them to handle the chemicals appropriately.
Drugs, Alcohol & Other Behaviors
Total Group, LLC’s provides a drug-free, healthful, and safe workplace. While on company premises or a customer’s premises, no employee may possess, distribute, sell, or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. It is Total Group’s desire to provide a drug-free and safe workplace.
Electrical
We aim to provide comprehensive on-site training to high-risk our workers on the prevention of serious injuries from electrical hazards at the worksites. Our team members develop an understanding of the requirements of OSHA and are able to identify and reduce or eliminate electrical safety hazards.
Fall Protection
Falls are among the most common causes of serious work-related injuries and deaths.
At Total Group, we set up our workplace to prevent employees from falling from overhead platforms, elevated work stations, or holes in the floor and walls.
